About Beverley

Located in the town centre, Beverley Breakout Escape Rooms is closely surrounded by many food and drink establishments. Beverley has lots of lovely independent coffee shops and a number of restaurants and bars. Perfect for coffee and cake or a small snack. If you fancy something a bit more substantial we have restaurants and pubs offering home cooked food.



This lovely town also offers plenty of things to do. Historic Beverley is home to two weekly markets. Beverley Market takes place every Saturday and a smaller one on a Wednesday. Maybe you want to pick up fresh meats and pork pies or a lovely selection of fresh fruit, you will find plenty of choice. Numerous stalls line ‘Saturday Market’ and at Christmas time, why not visit the lovely Victorian Market?



Beverley Town is reaped in history with the very beautiful and grand Beverley Minster dating back to 1220. This prestigious building is magnificent.



St Mary’s church is also a lovely historic church that is well worth a visit. This Church is situated just a short walk away from the towns iconic ‘North Bar’ this is a 15th century gate. Did you know that in 1377 Beverley had become the largest town in England?



During the Georgian era Beverley became the prime market town in the area. You can see lots of beautiful Georgian architecture around the town or maybe you fancy a trip to the races? Beverley is known for it’s racecourse, hosting many events throughout the year.

Kingston Upon Hull

Kingston Upon Hull, the 2017 City of Culture, is only a short drive from Beverley, with excellent train and bus links too. Hull boasts a number of interesting places to visit. For instance, ‘The Deep’, which is one of the UK’s biggest and best aquariums. Hull offers plenty of museums, how about ‘The Streetlife Museum’, enjoy the sights, sounds and smells of the past. Take a look at the ‘Hull Maritime Museum’, exploring the seafaring heritage of the City or perhaps you would like to go aboard the ‘Arctic Corsair’ built in 1960 and converted to a museum ship in 1999.



Visit many of the thriving bars and restaurants of the newly revamped Fruit Market, why not visit the ‘Minerva, TapHouse or Gin Bar’ which are all situated down on Hull’s Fruit Market. Great for a snack, cocktail or night out. In addition you can see the smallest pub room in Britain at The Minerva!



Not to forget the iconic Humber Bridge. A suspension bridge that took eight years to build and opened in June 1981. It was the world’s longest single-span suspension bridge for 16 years. It is now 8th in the world and still the longest in the U.K.



Hull has theatres regularly offering west end shows and other entertainment. Hull has many more things to see and do including shopping centres and other leisure facilities.

If you decide to travel across the iconic Humber Bridge by car, Lincoln City is just an hours drive with its lovely Cathedral and shopping areas. You can also walk across the bridge and take in the lovely views.



East Yorkshire has some lovely local walks taking in the beautiful scenery. In addition you can enjoy coastal walks and plenty of other fantastic trails. Above all, you will have plenty to keep you busy should you wish to discover the local area.
